Meet the Team
Matt Augspurger,
Founder and Wealth Advisor
Matt began his financial career in 2008 and became a fiduciary in 2011. His approach is holistic, focusing on investment management, tax efficiency, and legacy building that lasts for generations. With a deep commitment to client relationships, he leads with strategy and compassion, always seeking to simplify complexity and help clients live their legacy with confidence.
Outside the office, Matt is a dad of three, a volunteer with several Kitsap-area nonprofits, and a passionate home cook who enjoys serving up good food and great memories.
Amber Augspurger,
Chief Operations Officer
Amber is a Kitsap native who brings experience from private school administration, international logistics, and HR. She oversees operations with calm efficiency and deep care, making sure clients receive timely, thoughtful service. Amber finds joy in both detailed planning and meaningful conversations, which makes her a natural fit in this work.
She’s also a proud mom of three, a sourdough baker, and a dedicated backyard flower grower.
Jon Rooney,
Operations Specialist
Jon’s background in military search and rescue taught him the value of preparation, precision, and follow-through. Now back home in Silverdale, he brings those same qualities to his work at Strong Retirement Solutions, helping clients stay informed, organized, and confident in every step of the financial process.
When he’s not working, you’ll find him playing board games with family or catching a soccer match on the weekends.
Shay O’Bryant,
Executive Assistant
Originally from Texas, Shay spent years in staffing management before relocating to Kitsap County in 2023. She joined the team with a heart for service and a genuine passion for people. At Strong Retirement Solutions, Shay is often the first voice clients hear—and the one they turn to for anything they need.
She loves beach walks, hiking local trails, and cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys.
